Liverpool FC has officially announced Eriksson’s involvement, expressing their delight at having him as part of the LFC Legends management team for the upcoming charity game.
The club and LFC Foundation eagerly anticipate welcoming Sven and his family to Anfield for this special event. The statement also shines a light on the playing squad for the match, which includes notable figures such as Jerzy Dudek and Ryan Babel, who has connections to both Liverpool and Ajax. Previous editions of the event have raised substantial amounts, with the proceeds being utilized to support various initiatives and work schemes in the Liverpool city region and beyond. Ticket prices for the Legends charity match have been set at £28 for adults, £8 for juniors, and £18 for those over 65.
