The Reds have been walking wounded for several months, but they are nearing a full-strength squad for the upcoming matches. Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, and Stefan Bajcetic were all spotted in training on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming clash with Serie A side Atalanta. Alexander-Arnold has missed nearly two months of action due to a knee injury, and Jota has been sidelined since February.
However, there is hope that they could feature in the upcoming match against Atalanta. The quartet took part in a full training session, and their return is fueling confidence among the team. Despite the absence of key players like Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate, and Andy Robertson, Conor Bradley has deputized ably, but the return of Alexander-Arnold and the others would provide an experienced boost to the team.
Klopp has expressed hope that both Diogo and Trent will gradually return to team training in the coming weeks. Caoimhin Kelleher has proven to be a capable stopper in the Premier League in the absence of Alisson, but the Brazilian goalkeeper is also set to make his return soon. Klopp has mentioned that Alisson looks good and is working with the goalkeeper coaches.
The Reds are still without the likes of Thiago, Matip, and Ben Doak, but the sight of four important players back in full training is a positive development for the team.
