The message was received on Monday. Less than 24 hours after her team’s victory over Tottenham in a crucial north London derby, Hathaway appeared on NBC’s Today show with English actor Nicholas Galitzine, a fellow supporter of Arsenal.
Footage emerged on social media, showing Hathaway and Galitzine celebrating backstage during filming for their upcoming movie The Idea of You, despite conducting a media interview at the same time. Following a goal by the Belgian forward, Hathaway enthusiastically expressed her support.
She explained that they both support the same team and were following the English Premier League soccer match. The 29-year-old Trossard was rewarded for his form with a starting position at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Arsenal kept their title bid on track with a 3-2 victory, with goals from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Bukayo Saka, and Kai Havertz. However, Tottenham responded with goals from Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min.
Trossard was replaced just after the hour mark, and his side managed to hold onto the three points.
