The Red Devils have struggled in form, being knocked out of the Champions League at the group stages and currently sitting in sixth place in the Premier League table.
According to The Mirror, Tuchel would be interested in the United job should it become available. He would also be willing to return to Chelsea, despite being sacked by the club’s current owners in September 2022. Tuchel spent just over 18 months at Chelsea and led the Blues to Champions League and Club World Cup success.
Tuchel is said to be a great admirer of English football and believes he has unfinished business in the Premier League. The 50-year-old has no intention of being out of management next season, and he could well be keen to get his teeth stuck into a new project as soon as possible. Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS purchased a minority stake in United earlier this year, with reports suggesting that the 71-year-old has held talks with Tuchel over the top job at Old Trafford.
