Liverpool and Man Utd battle for £69m player who supports Arsenal

It’s expected to be a summer of change in Merseyside, as Jurgen Klopp’s nine-year tenure at Liverpool comes to a close. Additionally, the Reds are anticipated to be active in the transfer market, with Hjulmand being identified as a potential target. According to reports from HITC, Liverpool has displayed interest in Hjulmand, deploying scouts to Portugal to assess him.

However, they may face competition from other Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, who are also rumored to be monitoring the player. Despite this, it is suggested that a move to any of these clubs may disappoint Hjulmand, as he has publicly revealed his allegiance to another Premier League team. Hjulmand has made 45 appearances for Sporting CP this season and has a deep-rooted support for Arsenal, as evidenced by a tattoo of the club’s crest on his arm.

The potential cost for securing Hjulmand’s services has been estimated at a substantial £69 million, as reported by the Manchester Evening News. Furthermore, Hjulmand, who transferred from Lecce to Sporting last year, appears to be content at the Primeira Liga side. In an interview with A Bola, he expressed his affection for Sporting and the city of Lisbon, emphasizing the satisfaction of living in the country.

He also praised the tactical approach of the coach, Amorim, highlighting its significance for the team and individual players.
