Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has faced further scrutiny over his tactics after former star Andreas Pereira claimed his side were easy to play against this season. Only Luton Town have conceded more shots in the Premier League this season, and Pereira is one of the players who has profited from United’s dysfunctional setup. Fulham beat the Red Devils 2-1 at Old Trafford at the end of February, with Pereira at the heart of Marco Silva’s side’s attack that caused plenty of problems.
The 28-year-old has admitted that he enjoyed the “easy” task compared to an unsuccessful visit to M16 in the FA Cup last season, indicating Ten Hag’s team’s regression. “I had a lot of space, and I could play quite easily. I quite enjoyed it. It was quite different to the year before when we played the cup game,” Pereira told FIVE.
