Mikel Arteta’s gamble pays off as Arsenal pass Brighton test with three players shining

Arsenal secured an important win over Brighton, putting them at the top of the Premier League table and boosting their hopes for the title. The goals from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz gave them the upper hand over Liverpool and Manchester City in the title race. Leandro Trossard also contributed with a finish against his former club. Arsenal missed early chances to score, but eventually secured the win.

Saka’s involvement in the game was crucial, as he proved to be a livewire and scored from the penalty spot, giving Arsenal an early lead. David Raya made a magnificent save just before halftime, preventing Brighton from equalizing. Havertz stepped up under pressure, scoring the second goal for Arsenal, and eventually providing an assist for Trossard’s goal. Mikel Arteta will be pleased that Raya and Gabriel appear to have survived their recent injury scares.

Both players will be crucial for Arsenal in the remainder of the season.
