Premier League table reveals significant issue at Chelsea and Manchester United

Manchester United and Chelsea have both struggled for goals this season. The Premier League table shows their difficulties in earning points, and their attacking problems, despite significant spending.

Both teams have lacked a cutting edge in the final third, affecting the outcome of many matches. United won their 13th game of the season with a 2-1 win against Aston Villa, moving them to sixth place.

Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho have been the main goal scorers for United, with McTominay leading with seven goals. Bruno Fernandes is the only other player with more than one goal, emphasizing the need for more attacking options.

United must improve their goal production to compete with top teams like Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool, who have all scored significantly more goals. Meanwhile, Chelsea has also struggled, with only 38 goals scored so far this season, despite a squad worth over £1billion under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
