Mikel Arteta expresses feelings on Arsenal’s ‘next Saka’ as deal nears end

Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he is promoting Amario Cozier-Duberry, a young talent, into the senior squad for Arsenal. The 18-year-old winger joined the club in 2019 and briefly appeared in a match-day squad as an unused substitute in December 2022. With his contract expiring in the summer, Arteta is hoping to persuade Cozier-Duberry to extend his stay with Arsenal. Just last season, Arsenal Under-18 coach Jack Wilshere praised Cozier-Duberry for his exciting potential but also noted areas for improvement, likening his playing style to that of Bukayo Saka.

Saka, a key player for Arsenal, has been instrumental in their recent successes, scoring crucial goals for the team. Arsenal faces a critical match against West Ham, who have previously defeated them twice this season. The team is currently in a closely contested race for the top spots in the Premier League. Despite their recent win against Liverpool, Arsenal needs to maintain their momentum to secure their position in the league standings.
