Jurgen Klopp, the 56-year-old Liverpool manager, is taking a break from his football duties to focus on a family project. He is having two new properties built, one in his hometown of Wiesbaden and the other in Mallorca, his favorite holiday location. The German property is being constructed to be close to his family, as Klopp and his wife Ulla recently became grandparents for the first time. However, the overseas project in Mallorca has faced delays, prompting Klopp to joke about paying the bills before the property is even ready.
Klopp purchased the luxurious property in Mallorca in June 2022 for £3.4 million and is planning to have a state-of-the-art garden and an irrigation system built. Despite his commitments at Liverpool, he is considering getting more involved in the construction to speed up the process. Klopp has been the manager of Liverpool since October 2015, achieving success in both domestic and European football. However, he recently announced his decision to step down, citing a lack of energy to continue in the same role.
As he takes a break from his managerial duties, Liverpool has important upcoming matches in the League Cup final with Chelsea, FA Cup fifth-round tie with Southampton, and the Europa League.
