Two Man Utd players would oppose Jose Mourinho’s return as the boss seeks a second chance

Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in making a return to Manchester United for a second stint as the club’s manager. The Portuguese manager’s potential return comes as the future of Erik ten Hag is uncertain and Sir Jim Ratcliffe has arrived. Mourinho’s ambition to return to United stems from feeling like he has unfinished business there after being sacked during his second season due to poor form and high-profile fallouts with players like Paul Pogba.

He seemingly views working under Sir Jim Ratcliffe as an appealing prospect after leaving his role at Roma. However, Mourinho’s potential return may not be well-received by current United stars Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw. During his previous tenure at the club, Mourinho criticized Rashford’s attitude and publicly criticized Shaw, questioning his intelligence and work ethic.

Mourinho also called out other players like Anthony Martial, who is now expected to leave the club when his contract expires in the summer. In various public outbursts, Mourinho accused his players of lacking maturity and described them as spoiled or lacking courage.
