Former Chelsea star Ramires has undergone a transformation since retiring from professional football, and now sports a beard and slightly longer hair which makes him almost unrecognizable from his days on the pitch for the Blues. During his time at Chelsea, he was a key player and played a vital role in the team’s success, winning a number of trophies with the club. However, towards the end of his career at Chelsea, he fell out of favor and decided to move to the Chinese Super League, joining Jiangsu Suning in 2016. Despite criticism about the move being solely for financial reasons, Ramires explained that the decision was also motivated by his frustration with his situation at Chelsea and the long-term project and assurances offered by his new club.
After three years in China, he moved to Palmeiras, where he continued to play before eventually retiring.
