Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp backed Arne Slot in a glowing recommendation of the Feyenoord head coach who is set to replace him at Anfield next season. Slot has expressed his desire to make the move to the Premier League, and is keen to join Liverpool as Klopp’s successor.
Negotiations are underway between the two clubs to secure his move, which could cost the Reds as much as £13 million. Returning chief Michael Edwards and new sporting director Richard Hughes have deemed Slot their number one target to lead a new era at Anfield.

He took responsibility for their recent defeat against Everton and emphasized the importance of learning from setbacks in order to progress, expressing his discontent with the outcome but urging the team to use it as motivation for the future. Klopp also confirmed that Diogo Jota and Conor Bradley would not be in contention to return from their injuries against West Ham, but he remains determined to keep pushing Arsenal and Manchester City until the final day of the season and is focused on the upcoming games.
