Marcus Rashford endured a day to forget in Manchester United’s dramatic FA Cup semi-final victory against Coventry City on Sunday. Mark Robins’ Coventry players reportedly had similar reactions to Rashford’s performance at Wembley Stadium that spoke volumes about his disappointing 2023/24 season. According to the Manchester Evening News, Coventry stars were alarmed how easily they were able to nullify Rashford during the FA Cup semi-final classic.
The spirited squad is said to feel that they easily isolated the England international and that he could’ve been more involved in making a difference. One Coventry player reportedly sympathised with United fans for having to watch Rashford fail to ensure his proven ability translates into deciding games. Rashford looked to have been carrying an injury after the semi-final as he limped through the mixed zone at Wembley, marking him as a doubt for Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Sheffield United.
