George Earthy was taken off on a stretcher in West Ham’s loss to Fulham. West Ham has since stated that Earthy has returned home and will follow the guidelines for concussions set by the Football Association and Premier League before returning to action.
Hammers medical chief, Richard Collinge, mentioned that they will continue to monitor Earthy over the next few days as he completes the return to play program. Additionally, the club expressed gratitude for the supportive messages and extended well wishes for Earthy’s recovery.
Fulham’s 2-0 victory, with goals scored by Andreas Pereira, was overshadowed by the incident. West Ham boss David Moyes expressed his disappointment for Earthy’s injury and highlighted his promising performance in training and the match itself.
Moyes also mentioned the team’s intention to bring Earthy on the field earlier and praised his skills as a footballer.
