Manchester United supporter Luke Littler taunts Liverpool after Atalanta defeat

Luke Littler took the opportunity to mock Liverpool once again on social media, keeping his promise of being darts’ own Neal Maupay. This followed an online exchange with Brentford striker last month, where Littler vowed to continue taunting Liverpool on his socials.

He expressed his enjoyment of this and indicated that if others can’t handle it, it’s their tough luck. Following Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat by Atalanta in the Europa League, Littler engaged in further provocation on Thursday night, coinciding with his participation in a Premier League event in Birmingham.

The reactions of Everton and United fans were evident in the comments, showing solidarity in making Littler aware of Liverpool’s loss. Littler responded to multiple comments with the word “YANITED” and shared a post of Gianluca Scamacca celebrating on his Instagram story.

This was not the first time Littler had poked fun at Liverpool. After Manchester United’s FA Cup quarter-final win over the Reds, he made a humorous post emphasizing his team’s success.

Despite his loss in the final to Michael van Gerwen, Littler is currently at the top of the Premier League table after victories over Rob Cross and Luke Humphries. There are five more nights of competition before the playoffs on May 23, including an event at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and captain Virgil van Dijk expressed their disappointment and determination to bounce back after the team’s calamitous performance against Atalanta. Klopp admitted it was a bad game and emphasized the need for the team to regroup for their upcoming match.

Van Dijk echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of quickly shifting focus to their next game and aiming for a win.
