After the match, he wrote on Instagram: “A result to reflect on… thank you to the travelling fans who came to support us today! A bittersweet moment also for breaking the English record goal scorer in the Bundesliga, surpassing the legend Tony Woodcock!” Sancho received a raft of support for his achievement, including from United teammate Marcus Rashford and wonderkid Shea Lacey.
