Tosin Adarabioyo, now 26, made eight senior appearances for the Sky Blues before joining Fulham in 2020. The towering 6ft 5in figure had already gained two seasons of vital Championship experience on loan at West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers. He then helped Fulham bounce back to the Premier League after their relegation to the second tier in 2021/22. With over a century of appearances for the Cottagers, Adarabioyo has seemingly decided that this summer, when his contract expires, is the right time to pursue a new challenge.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Adarabioyo has rejected Fulham’s new contract proposals and informed the club of his decision to depart. He will officially become a free agent on July 1. Reports indicate that Liverpool, Tottenham, and Newcastle are all keen on signing the departing Fulham man. Liverpool are preparing for Jurgen Klopp’s potential departure, which could leave them light in defense if Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip follow him out of the exit door.
Spurs, on the other hand, are well-stocked in central defense, but the addition of Adarabioyo would give them greater squad depth. Similarly, Newcastle is seeking bargain deals to stay on the right side of the Premier League’s financial regulations and is reportedly in the mix for Adarabioyo. Adarabioyo boasts a Carabao Cup winners medal from his time at City and a Championship win with Fulham. He was a regular with England at youth level but is yet to make the step up to Gareth Southgate’s senior side.
Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly is also believed to be of interest and will soon be available on a free transfer.
