The other two names being considered spell potential trouble for Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as there are suggestions that Ten Hag may be willing to leave Manchester United before potentially being sacked. There are alternative options being assessed, with Graham Potter also being prominently linked to replace Ten Hag at Old Trafford.
In addition, Ajax is also interested in Nice boss Francesco Farioli, who is currently in charge of Nice, INEOS’ other club, and has the Ligue 1 outfit competing for European qualification. Ajax’s pursuit may either add to Ratcliffe’s responsibilities in his first summer as United co-owner, take a leading managerial candidate off the market, or necessitate an unwanted search for a replacement at Nice.
Reports have added to the uncertainty surrounding Ten Hag’s future, suggesting that he could make a decision for United at the end of the season. As a result, there is potential for changes in managerial positions at both clubs.
