Joe Cole, a TNT Sports pundit and former Chelsea star, jokingly mentioned that he avoided Mikel Arteta’s interview with the broadcaster after the Blues suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal.

Cole was on punditry duties alongside Rio Ferdinand and Martin Keown for TNT, but curiously was absent at the end of the match when Arteta conducted his interview. He joked that he tried to leave north London in the wake of his former team’s dispirited performance and stated that he had no interest in talking to Arteta.

After Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the group, Cole was reintroduced and questioned the Arsenal fans’ early celebrations at the full-time whistle. He mentioned receiving text messages from Chelsea supporters complaining about the lackluster performance and explained the struggles of the team without influential players.

Mikel Arteta reflected on Arsenal’s performance against Chelsea, expressing frustration at the lack of maturity shown by his team during crucial moments. He acknowledged the impact of the defeat on the fans and emphasized the importance of bouncing back in the next game against Aston Villa.
