Man Utd aims to acquire their version of Martin Odegaard as they prepare a bid for the talented youngster.

The INEOS boss is seeking to make significant changes to the Red Devils’ squad, particularly in defense, midfield, and attack. In the midfield, both Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are expected to leave, and younger players are being considered as their replacements. United has reportedly shortlisted Nypan, a 17-year-old talent from Rosenborg, as a key target for the upcoming summer window.

According to reports, United has shown interest in identifying the most talented stars in Norway, and Nypan has emerged as a highly-regarded prospect in the Eliteserien league. The teenager has demonstrated his versatility by playing in various midfield roles and even as a striker when needed. Although Nypan’s father has expressed the desire for his son to remain in Norway until he turns 18, United is interested in reaching a deal before potentially sending him out on loan.

Despite growing interest in Nypan from other European clubs, the Red Devils are eager to secure the midfielder as soon as possible. INEOS views the investment in Nypan as potentially significant, and although other Premier League clubs have been linked with him, United is keen to ensure him of a clear pathway to their first team. Nypan has drawn comparisons to Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard due to his game intelligence and special awareness.

Although Rosenborg is reluctant to part ways with him easily, United, alongside other clubs like Brighton and Wolves, could provide Nypan with opportunities to play on a significant stage in Europe. However, United plans to communicate a clear pathway for Nypan to break into their first team.
