The Red Devils are reportedly interested in signing two players as Sir Jim Ratcliffe prepares to strengthen Erik ten Hag’s squad for the next season. Olise has been linked with a move away from Crystal Palace since last summer.
Manchester United is said to have added him to their list of targets, but they would need to pay £65 million to secure his services. It is reported that Olise’s release clause of £65 million will become active at the end of the season, and other clubs like Manchester City and Arsenal are also thought to be keen on the player. Chelsea is still believed to admire Olise, but they may not renew their pursuit due to other emerging players.
This creates a potential opportunity for United to acquire Olise. However, the Red Devils may decide to save money by targeting Olmo instead. Dani Olmo, who plays for Leipzig, is reportedly available for a cheaper fee than Olise, with his release clause believed to stand at £52 million.
United has reached out to his camp to discuss the possibility of a move, and Olmo is reportedly keen on seeking a new challenge in the summer. Ratcliffe reportedly aims to freshen up United’s squad with younger talent, and both Olise and Olmo would fit the bill perfectly. Olise, at 22 years old, has room for growth and has scored six Premier League goals with three assists this season, while Olmo, three years older, has the ability to play on either wing or as a lone striker and has scored eight goals and provided five assists for Leipzig in all competitions this season.
