Manchester United are reportedly hopeful of agreeing a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho’s permanent return in the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old’s exit would facilitate a swoop for a new winger to go alongside United’s expected pursuit of a striker, and there are a handful of options in the Premier League and beyond.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are the two most heavily linked clubs. The 21-year-old has registered six goals and 14 assists this season, and Athletic are reportedly planning for life without him.

Williams can play on either wing, although he prefers the left, which would provide Marcus Rashford with much-needed competition. Nico Williams has a £43m release clause.

Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly among the 24-year-old’s admirers, having been left impressed by his exploits for Wolves when fit. He has been limited to just 19 starts in all competitions this term, but he has provided 11 assists and three goals.

United could take a risk after their own injury problems this season, but his expected asking price of around £60m could prove too steep.
