The goalkeeper for Villarreal has performed impressively this season, sparking speculation of a bidding war for his services in the upcoming summer transfer window. Mikel Arteta is expected to reorganize the goalkeeping lineup at the end of the season, with Aaron Ramsdale garnering interest from across Europe after being demoted to second-choice goalkeeper at the Emirates Stadium. The England international has expressed his dissatisfaction with being on the bench behind David Raya, but the manager’s support for the Spaniard makes it difficult to see Ramsdale reclaiming his starting position.

As Arsenal is eager to spend, Ramsdale could be an asset to raise funds for new arrivals. It has been reported that Aaron Ramsdale is likely to depart from Arsenal in the summer. Villarreal’s Jorgensen has also been linked with a move to North London, but other clubs are also interested in the Denmark Under-21 international. Both Arsenal and Liverpool see him as an ideal backup goalkeeper who can further develop and potentially challenge their current first-choice goalkeepers.

Jorgensen is under contract with Villarreal until 2027, and while a move at the end of the season is a possibility, both Liverpool and Arsenal will need to pay a reasonable fee to secure his transfer from the Estadio de la Ceramica. Ramsdale is hopeful that his future does not solely rely on negotiations between Villarreal and Arsenal. Former Manchester United star Andy Cole recently advised the former Sheffield United shot-stopper to aim for a move away from Arsenal this summer. Cole expressed his belief that Ramsdale was unfairly treated by Arteta and believed that he would excel as a number-one goalkeeper, particularly at Newcastle if he were to move on from Arsenal.
