AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola offered support to Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag following their 2-2 draw at the Vitality Stadium. Despite the intensifying pressure on Ten Hag and United’s recent poor run of Premier League results, Iraola commended the team’s ability to find ways to get results, acknowledging that they are an efficient and difficult team to beat. The ongoing changes at United following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s takeover have put Ten Hag’s position in question, with Champions League qualification and potential FA Cup success seeming insufficient to secure his future as manager.

However, Iraola’s public show of support for Ten Hag during this challenging time was a welcome gesture. Ten Hag has been under scrutiny since Ratcliffe’s involvement, with the possibility of INEOS appointing their own head coach. Despite the pressure, Iraola recognized the difficulties of managing a club like Manchester United, emphasizing the team’s ability to achieve results even when not at their best.
