Mikel Arteta, the current manager of Arsenal, is thriving in his role. Additionally, Cesc Fabregas, another former Arsenal star, has revealed his ambition to coach at the top level.

After retiring from playing, Fabregas briefly managed Serie C side Como before being promoted to interim boss of the first team following the dismissal of Moreno Longo. Despite not having completed his UEFA Pro coaching license, Fabregas expressed his desire to coach a top club in the Premier League and the Champions League.

Fabregas emphasized the importance of respecting the right steps and continuing to progress in Italy before considering a move elsewhere. He expressed his readiness to be a first-team coach, indicating that he does not want to take on smaller coaching roles or be an assistant.

Similarly, Mikel Arteta started as an assistant before becoming Arsenal’s manager in 2019. He previously worked under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and his reputation has since grown, leading to links with a potential move to Barcelona.

Both Arteta and Fabregas have followed paths that involved gaining experience and taking on roles that prepared them for leadership positions. Fabregas’s comments reflect his determination to take the necessary steps before pursuing his ambition, while Arteta’s successful transition from assistant to manager highlights the value of gaining experience in coaching before stepping into a leadership role.
