Manchester United ‘confident’ of £10m deal to transform summer transfer window

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is eager to revamp Manchester United, both on and off the pitch, this summer. The INEOS chief has already brought in Omar Berrada from Manchester City and is now eyeing Dan Ashworth from Newcastle to further reshape the club’s hierarchy. Despite initial complications with Newcastle, there is growing confidence within United that a deal for Ashworth could be negotiated, possibly in the region of £10m.

The Red Devils are optimistic about securing Ashworth, who has shown an interest in joining the club. If appointed in time for the summer transfer window, he will be expected to play a crucial role as United aims to strengthen their squad. The club is targeting new additions in various positions, including a striker, wide players, and potential replacements for Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane in the defense.

Erik ten Hag, the manager, is keen to bolster the team’s options at both ends of the pitch. These potential changes indicate a significant shift in United’s recruitment strategy and overall squad composition. It reflects Ratcliffe’s determination to invest in the team’s success and competitiveness.
