Jurgen Klopp’s job stance could hinder Man Utd move as new deal ‘on the cards’

Jurgen Klopp has announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the season, citing a need for a break due to feeling ‘running out of energy’ on Merseyside. He hopes to end his tenure with a bang by winning the treble. There’s speculation that Sporting’s Ruben Amorim could succeed Klopp at Liverpool, and other managerial changes are anticipated before the 2024/25 season. Meanwhile, Julian Nagelsmann, who has been linked with Manchester United, is set to lead Germany into the Euros this summer.

The German Football Association may offer him a new contract to remain as the national team head coach or he could potentially return to club football, with a reappointment at Bayern Munich being a possibility. Klopp’s availability could have made Die Mannschaft more open to his departure to United or other suitors, but with him seeking a break, Nagelsmann’s potential move to United has become more challenging. However, if Germany strikes an agreement with Nagelsmann before the Premier League season concludes, United may need to look at alternative options for their managerial position.
